Lopota Lake Resort Opens Georgia’s First Luxury Jazz Club
A new jazz club has officially opened at the Lopota Lake Resort & Spa in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia, marking a unique addition to the country’s jazz scene. Situated among the stunning Caucasus Mountains, the club is the realization of a vision by the resort’s late owner, Goga Maisuradze. His dream has been brought to life under the guidance of David Koiava from the Georgian architecture firm Design Avenue Studio.
Blending harmoniously with the natural surroundings, the two-story club is built from natural wood, concrete, and stone, with a rounded design and bold columns complemented by the local landscape. The structure features an open-air atrium for warm-weather performances, while the cozy, dim-lit interior hosts up to 150 guests across two floors, both offering clear views of the main stage. The color palette—shades of blue, brown, and mustard—adds to the inviting atmosphere.
Ana Maisuradze, the current owner of Lopota Lake Resort, explained that her father’s vision was to create a tranquil, late-night venue for adults visiting the family-friendly resort. Notably, this is the first jazz club in Georgia with a focus on luxury and design, departing from the usual underground jazz venues found in the country.
