Baskal Korkis and The Real Estate Revolution
“Everyone should educate themselves regarding their personal finances,” entrepreneur Baskal Korkis says. “Unfortunately, our current education system doesn’t offer this type of education. No one is going to help you but yourself and my goal is to teach people via social media for free.”
This statement coming from one of the most successful real estate investors in the Tampa Bay area reflects the underpinning of his success. And as for helping others, he has proved good to his word.For Baskal Korkis, empire building is something that started early, when was only 14 and in high school. Mentored by his uncle about real estate investments, Baskal became interested in buying properties with the intention of renting them out in order to make a profit. After realizing how potentially lucrative this business model could be, young Baskal wondered why his uncle hadn’t tried to buy more properties.
“Why stop at one? Why not 100? Why not 1000?” Baskal remembers asking his uncle at a holiday family gathering.
He quickly redirected all his efforts to school, work and real estate with the goal of buying a property as soon as he could. At 19, he completed his first real estate deal and by 23 years old, he owned 10 buildings.
“I barely slept, but I was doing everything I wanted to do,” Baskal says.
Now Baskal’s business includes an accounting firm, a rental company, a financial services company, and an insurance agency that specializes in real estate investments,
He freely shares his knowledge with others. With an Instagram account that exceeds over one hundred thousands followers, he has real influence, urging his fans to think beyond short-term gains, so they are able to make better decisions that will benefit them in the long run.
